A TEAM of six members of Midsomer Norton TAGB took part in the Tae Kwon-Do South East Regional Championships at Portsmouth - and absolutely dominated, bringing home an astonishing 13 medals on a day to remember for the local club.

Ms Edyta Fober, 2nd Dan InstructorMidsomer Norton TAGB Tae Kwon-Do, said: “We couldn’t be prouder of their hard work, commitment, and incredible achievements.”

“Members train hard to compete in such events - so this success was well deserved for all six team members against some of the most talented Tae Kwon Do opponents in the South East, many of whom would have been trying their best to win medals themselves. It was richly deserved.”

Medal haul breakdown: Jess Pearcey: Gold in Individual Sparring. Stefan Barr: Gold in both Individual Sparring and Tag Team Sparring. Josh Longworth: Silver in Individual Sparring and Patterns, Gold in Tag Team Sparring. Sydné Bell: Gold in both Individual Sparring and Individual Patterns, Silver in Tag Team Sparring and Team Patterns. Henry Smith: Gold in Individual Sparring, Silver in Team Patterns. Hannah Murphy-Gay: Silver in Team Patterns.

A special mention goes to Hannah Murphy-Gay, who took part in her very first competition and brought home a silver medal in team patterns - an impressive achievement for a debut!

Each competitor showed remarkable skill, determination, and resilience. Beyond the athletes' individual brilliance, this success wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of the parents, families, and fellow club members.

Whether cheering from the sidelines, helping with training, or providing motivation behind the scenes, their contributions were invaluable. We deeply appreciate everyone who has been part of this journey.

This competition was a reflection of the hard work and dedication the team has put into their training, and they look forward to many more successes in the future. Congratulationsonce again to all our incredible athletes - your accomplishments are an inspiration to us all!

Together, we’ve proven that teamwork, dedication, and community make all the difference. Here's to many more victories to come!
