MENDIP Golf Club’s Seniors beat Bridport 5-1 on a very wet day but narrowly went down 2.5 - 3.5 when visiting Weston.

Wins came from Ian Whittamore/Paul Wood and Roland Greenway/Norman Squire with a half gained by Steve Davis/Tony Taylor.

Sixty seniors played in the Drawn Pairs event. On a difficult scoring day, 4th after count back with 39 points were Colin Davies/Charlie Holmes. Phillip Bissett/Robert Miller were 3rd with 40 and Andy Griffiths/Richard White were runners up with 42.

However an excellent score of 44 won the  Trophy for Mike Merrick playing with Nigel Brokenshire.
