THE annual away day for the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club saw the members travel to Wheathill Golf Club and it proved a more than lucrative day for the man who made it all possible.

Paul Trigg, who organised the day, came in first with a total of 41 points and also won the prize for the longest drive. Howard Nowell ran him close with a total of 40 points and secretary Alan Jones was a further point behind in third place. Shaun Goodwin won the prize for nearest the pin on the eighteenth hole and the two spot kitty was shared between Steve Brixey and Chris Appleton. Many thanks to Paul for a very enjoyable day.

The mixed puttsomes event for the Joe Hawkins Cup was won in convincing style by Alan Jones and Elaine Winsley who recorded a nett 36. Four shots behind came Malcolm and  Elaine Emery and Shaun and Josie Goodwin with the Emerys claiming second place on countback. The prize for the best male went to Pat Cray with 26 shots with Anne Reeves who makes a habit of doing well in this event winning the ladies’ section with 16 putts.
