PAULTON Rovers will be back in action in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western League when they play at home to Bridgwater United on Saturday, September 7 (3p.m.).

United, who beat Wellington 1-0 at home in a league match on Saturday, are lying seventh in the table and are keen to get back into the Southern League.

Paulton, who came down from the Southern League at the end of last season, are lying ninth in the Jewson League, having won four and lost two of their six matches so far.

Paulton also have another league game at home next Tuesday - when high-flyers Street provide the opposition for a 7.30p.m. kick off.

Street are lying third in the table, and are only one point behind the leaders Portishead Town, with a crucial game in hand. Portishead and Street are the only sides still to lose a game this season.

Before then, however, on Thursday, September 5, Paulton Rovers U18s are home in the FA Youth Cup against Cirencester Town (7.30 p.m.). This promises to be an intertaining game. The tie will show what talent both clubs have in their youth teams.
