ONE of the longest playing members in the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club stole the honours in the recent Committee Cup.

Brian Phelps joined up with Malcolm Tucker to win the Greensomes competition with a nett score of 59. Two shots behind came Shaun Goodwin and Bob Townsend with Andy Flagg and Richard Sullivan third with a nett 63.

The over 75s event for the John Appleton Cup was played off the yellow tees but members still found the going tough after recent heavy rain. Mike Weeks headed the Stableford field with a score of 36 points. Sullivan came in second with 34 points.
