MIDSOMER Norton stormed to another big rugby victory when they beat fourth-placed Minehead Barbarians 64-7 at home in Counties Two Somerset.

It was their 17th win in 18 matches and it enabled them to stay 13 points clear of second-placed Clevedon who won 28-5 at home to Avon who stay third in the table. Norton also have a game in hand on Clevedon.

Minehead held on to fourth place despite their heavy defeat by the leaders who have now amassed 1016 points this season.

Oldfield Old Boys remain in a mid-table position after they gained a 27-15 away win over Imperial, securing their tenth success of the season.
