Midsomer Norton RFC are pleased to confirm the appointment of Tom Page as Head Coach as part of a coaching restructure. In his new role Tom will take the lead at Senior Training sessions as well as First XV match days.
Tom is a Level 3 coach with over 10 years of coaching experience. Working across both 15s and 7s, Tom is a Coach Educator for Bath Rugby and a Defence/Forwards coach within the University of Bath’s high-performance squads and Head coach to The Godfathers Elite Invitational 7s Team.
Having held roles previously as both Director of Rugby and Head Coach at clubs within Bristol and Somerset he now joins Norton as Head Coach for the rest of the season with ambitions of future league success and installing his coaching philosophy within the Senior Men’s set up at Norton Down.
“Tom is a great fit for MNRFC and we are excited about the influence he can have on our squads,” said Alex Davis (Chairman). “Tom has already been working with the Seniors, as well as assisting the Juniors over the past few months, and the feedback has always been brilliant. There is a lot for players and supporters to look forward to.”
Martin Blackmore will continue at the club, assisting Tom in a Director of Rugby role. They will be supported by Bath Rugby’s Johannes Jonker (Forwards Lead) as well as Rob Viol (Backs Lead).
Midsomer Norton continues to run three Senior Sides within the RFU structure, with the First XV currently competing in Level 7. Training continues at Norton Down on Tuesdays at 7pm, and at Norton Hill School at 7.30pm.
