FOSSWAY Seniors' four ball better ball event for the Stan Brown Cup saw a narrow win for Martyn Cuer and Malcolm Tucker who recorded a nett score of 56. Just one shot behind came Paul Trigg and Howard Nowell with Noel Chatfield and Mike Weeks third with a nett score of 59.

There was an equally close finish in the Bill Lester Texas Scramble with victory for John Bendle and Allen Cheney with a nett score of 57. Cuer just missed out on another first place finishing with a nett 58 with partner John Williams. Shaun Goodwin and Paul Ellis also finished with a nett 58 but were beaten on countback.
