A SMALL field took part in the Karen Nicholls Trophy at Wells Golf Club in glorious conditions. Winning the Gross Trophy were Tina Davies and Katrina Foote, with Denise Baker and Janice White winning the Nett prize.

The County Centenary Plate Foursomes knockout competition was played at the Mendip against Wedmore. In very trying conditions of high winds, rain and the odd mist cloud the Wells’ pairing of Philippa Gowen and Tina Keers won their match. They now march on to the 3rd round.

A team of 7 ladies travelled to Wedmore for the second round of the Rogers Cup. The result against Taunton and Pickeridge was 4-3 loss.
