WELTON Rovers are still without a point in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League after they lost 5-0 at home to Bridgwater United.

It was their 17th successive loss in the division and leaves them 12 points adrift at the bottom of the table with a minus 78 goals deficit.

Clevedon took over top spot on goal difference after beating Shepton Mallet 2-0 at home. They took over from Brixham AFC who went down to a 2-0 away defeat against Bucklland Athletic.

Barnstaple Town beat Nailsea & Tickenham 1-0 at home to stay third, three points behind the top two.

Buckland’s win over Brixham enabled them to go fourth, only one point behind Barnstaple Town who have a game in hand on Brixham.

Wellington made it six wins in succession when they beat Saltash United 2-0 away and are now up to 12th in the table, their best position of the season.

In other matches, Brislington pulled off a 2-1 home win over struggling Torpoint Athletic to go tenth, with matches in hand on several of the teams above them.

St Blazey were to a 1-1 draw at home to Paulton Rovres, recent winners over Brixham, while Oldland Abbotonians were 3-0 home winners over Ivybridge Town.
