We have had a relatively quiet week at Purnells starting with our ladies at home on Thursday to Wells in the Wild League resulting in a good win for Purnell.
The only other competitive game was in the Mixed MSL on Friday evening against one of the finalists in the competition, Bloomfield. Purnell were victorious winning on two rinks and a draw on the third. Bank Holiday Saturday we held a club celebration with a bowls drive, a BBQ and Bingo which was very well attended and great fun. A huge thank you to Angie/Sue ‘T’ and their little helpers.
Always trying to recruit new bowlers to the sport, weat Purnell invite anyone to join us between 10am and 12 noon for tea/coffee and try out our facilities which include two Indoor bowling rinks, a bar and spacious clubhouse. It will certainly beat sitting watching endless repeats on TV throughout the cold winter months.
