The Friends of Silver Street Nature Reserve are very pleased to announce an ‘Outstanding' award from It’s your Neighbourhood ‘In Bloom’. We were presented with a certificate and glowing assessment by Sean last week. We would like to thank all those who helped in many ways to achieving this standard.

We would also like to thank the Town Council for the generous grant towards the meadow cut. It is an important part of meadow management to keep the fertility low so by cutting and removing the grass allows our wild flowers to thrive. Without the help from the Council we would not be able to keep the meadow looking as good as it does.

At this time of the year everything is getting ready for winter and we are surprised at the amount of plants still in bloom in our gardens, this is a sign of our changing weather pattens that will affect us all.
