TWO people were taken to hospital after a crash on the A367 in Peasedown St John.
The crash resulted in a full road closure in both directions, between Dunkerton Hill and the roundabout for Orchard Way and Wellow Lane, on Wednesday, February 26.
The police, fire service, and ambulance service were all called to the scene. The fire service had to free a person from a vehicle using cutting equipment, while two people were taken to hospital.
The road has since been reopened.
A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue said: “On February 26 at 5.01pm crews from Temple and Bath Fire Stations were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A367 Dunkerton Hill, in Peasedown St John.
“Crews freed a person from a vehicle using used hydraulic cutting equipment. Firefighters worked with the ambulance and police on the scene to make sure everything and everyone was safe.
“The road also was also closed for some time due to the incident.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: “We were called at 4.54pm on Wednesday February 26 to a road traffic collision near Peasedown St John.
“We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an operations officer, and a rapid response vehicle to the scene. We conveyed two patients by land ambulances to Royal United Hospital Bath.”
