A huge thank you to Radstock Museum for yet again supplying this week’s Mystery Photograph.

Last week’s photograph proved difficult with many of you contacting us saying you had no idea!

Many thanks to our readers who sent in their guesses of the Chapel in an unknown location:

Mike and Lorraine Evans think it might be the Old Chapel at Great Elm. As did Rob Wilcox, Alan and Norma Norris, Chris Doel and Sue Leycock.

Jonathan Griffin agreed telling The Journal: “This week we are looking at the Old Chapel between Great Elm and Hapsford with the lane that goes off to Buckland Dinham on the left of the shot.

“I am thinking that the photo was taken during the conversion of the Chapel to a dwelling house judging by the cement mixer by the front door.

“Any bonus points for identifying the car in the bottom right hand corner as a Hillman Avenger? Just thought I’d ask...”

Editor: I think that is worth a few bonus points, yes!

Mike Chant wrote in to say: “I would suggest that this week’s Mystery Photograph is of Great Elm Methodist Chapel.

“I can remember as a young boy from Buckland Dinham, and member of the Buckland Dinham Methodist Chapel in the 50’s and early 60’s, attending this Chapel in Great Elm on occasions, before it became a private residence.”
