Pupils at St. John’s Primary School are once again celebrating success in science. The school has again been awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) which celebrates its commitment to excellence in science leadership, teaching and learning.
The PSQM is a comprehensive evidence-based professional development programme that effectively develops science leadership, ensuring teachers have the knowledge, capability and support they need to transform science education and shape future generations.
Whilst working towards this award, the school has organised a very successful and well-supported STEM (Science, Technology, Environment and Maths) Fair to which parents/guardians were invited to visit and view the many exciting experiments and presentations.
Rosie Monks, Acting Headteacher, said: “We are delighted to have achieved this prestigious award again and are very proud of the pupils and all the work and effort both they and the staff have put into this over the past year.
“Our focus on science is embedded within all year groups and we offer all children the opportunities to learn about science and how it can benefit and enhance our everyday activities.”
