Diana Walker was declared the Grand Champion of this year’s Midsomer Norton Town Show, which took place on Saturday 8th July as part of this year’s Midsomer Norton Town Fayre.
A huge number of entries were submitted across a range of categories – with special categories for children to enter.
As well as being the overall champion, Diana also came top of the art and photography section. The winners were:

Section C: Cookery - Janet Brinacombe
Section D: Men Only Cookery - Noel Avis
Section E: Handicrafts - Patrica Flagg
Section F: Art and Photography - Diana Walker
Section G: Children’s Trophy (Classes 1 - 4) - Tyler-Bridges Andres
Section G: Children’s Trophy (Classes 5 - 9) - Erin Nash
Schools Trophy - St John’s Primary School
Shop Window Display - Rose Crafts
The trophies were presented by Gordon Mackay who said: “The Town Show is a wonderful competition which celebrates the creativity. It was fabulous to see so many inventive and colourful creations on show. I look forward to seeing the categories up next year and preparing some of my own entries with the family!”
Midsomer Norton Fayre was organised by Midsomer Norton Community Trust and sponsored by the Town Council, alongside a range of local businesses. It is set to return to the Town Park next year on Saturday 13th July 2023. Category information for the Town Show will become available later this year.
