Glastonbury Festival has confirmed Sir Rod Stewart will perform in the Sunday legend’s slot at the event next year.

Festival bosses made the announcement this morning following months of speculation on which artists could appear at Worth Farm in 2025.

Glastonbury Festival said on X (Formerly Twitter) this morning: “We’re excited to announce that Sir Rod Stewart will play the Sunday teatime slot at Glastonbury 2025.”

The BBC reports how the star announced his intention to stop playing "large-scale world tours" at the end of 2025.

Sir Rod will appear on the Pyramid Stage 23 years after his last performance at the festival and will follow in the footsteps of Rick Astley, Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue and Barry Gibb.
