After a successful music Festival, the Town park hosts its next big community event this weekend with Midsomer Norton Fayre taking place in the Town Park Saturday 8th July between 12 noon and 4pm.

The family extravaganza is free to enter and includes a range of free and affordable attractions aimed at all ages including Bouncy Castles, Face Painting, Punch & Judy, Street Organ, Goat Rides, Balloon Modelling, Music Workshops and much more.

In the amphitheatre there is a range of live music from the Swallow Choir, Roger & Annie Davenport, Keith Horler, Local Heroes and Club Rock - a series of bands from local schools which impressed at the recent music event.

Alongside the attractions there are around forty market stalls as well as a range of catering options. and much, much more. Parc Skateboarding are also bring a Skate Jam to the town’s World Class skate park - there will be prizes and giveaways for the best tricks, graffiti with Local Artist Rowdy and opportunities to try skateboarding with community decks, Helmets and pads provided by Parc Skate School.

This year’s Maypole Dance Festival will also see over one hundred local school children taking part in the main arena outside the Somer Centre, with performances by Midsomer Norton & Radstock Silver Band and Limelight Dance School.

Inside the Somer Centre there will be displays of Art and Photography as well as the popular Tea Room with delicious tea and cakes as well as the eighth edition of the annual Town Show, celebrating the creativity of the people of Midsomer Norton and the surrounding area.

Entries are invited across a range of categories from all ages and abilities.
