Following the success of last year’s Midsomer Norton Jubilee Music Festival, it’s been confirmed this week that a follow-up festival is being staged this summer.
The free event will take place on the Town Park again, on Saturday 3rd June, and this year will be held from 1pm to 7pm.
A variety of performers, playing different styles of music will hit the stage, with the organisers promising something for everyone. The aim is to bring the community together for a free event to have fun listen to live performances, and to experience other art forms and take part in art activities.
Building on last year’s offering, this year there will be a proper bar provided by the Outfield Festival team, and a wider range of food vendors. There will be an art marquee displaying works by local children and adults, and creative activities for all ages. The music festival is working with the Cultural Consortium and Community Trust, and will be displaying art created as part of the Community Art Project, on theme My High Street, as well as running related art activities.
The festival is being delivered through the Midsomer Norton Community Trust, with support from the town council, and several local businesses and organisations. The organisers welcome any offers of support from individuals, community groups and businesses, regarding performances, activities, volunteering or funding.
Information can be found on, and contact made through, the Midsomer Norton Community Trust and Midsomer Music & Arts Festival Facebook pages. Contact with organisers can be made via www.mnct.co.uk or phone 01761 419133.
