This month’s Afternoon Tea at Paulton Rovers was held to raise money for the Double Hills Memorial Service, which takes place in Paulton on Sunday, 3rd September.
This annual event, organised by Peter Yeates, commemorates the tragic loss of twenty three young men in a glider en route to Arnhem as part of Operation Market Garden in 1944.
The event starts at 2pm. Car parking is available at the top of Tennis Court Road in Paulton. After the Service, refreshments are available at Paulton Rovers.
The afternoon tea was organised, by Sarah Delaney and her team ( pictured) along with help from Debbie Alway. Delicious cakes, scones and sandwiches were to be had, along with a raffle and bingo.
Huge thank you from Peter Yeates to the Paulton Rovers’ team for raising this money for the Commemoration Service.
