A two-day Real Ale and Cider festival will be held this weekend at Midsomer Norton South Station – July 22nd and 23rd.
Sessions on both days will start at 11am and finish at 4pm with trains running every hour from 11:30 to 15:30. The train rides will be in the railway’s resident 1960s built Diesel Multiple Unit allowing visitors a unique view of the scenery going up to the railway summit – a two-mile round trip. There will be offerings of six real ales mainly from local brewers including a couple of “wild-card” beers from further afield. Four ciders will be available also from local producers with refreshments from the Pines Express buffet coach which will be located on one of the platforms.
Outside seating will be provided around the site as well as live music on the Sunday provided by Bennie Vee.
