The Timsbury Theatre Group is celebrating its 50th birthday with a special show in the Summer of 2023.
Back in 1973, a small group of people got together in the newly built Conygre Hall in Timsbury, Somerset to put on a show they thought would entertain the village, and every year since they have done the same.
Over the last fifty years, the group of amateur thespians, artists, musicians, technicians, costumers and more has grown in to what it is today, producing the annual pantomime just before Christmas, a Spring play as well as Summer shows of comedy and music.
Over the years the group have seen hundreds of members come and go. Some have sadly passed away, others moved away and some have gone on to work in the professional theatre business (as well as TV and film!).
For this year’s celebration the group will be producing and performing a look back at entertainment representing the five decades from the 70s to today.
If you were involved with the TTG in the past they would like to hear from you.
The group are hoping to attract back any past members who’d like to be involved with their celebration show in any way.
It will be a mixture of nostalgia, fun, music and laughs.
The audience will be around tables and there will be food served as well as a fully licenced bar open throughout and after the show.
The performance dates are on the 13th, 14th and 15th of July 2023 and the Timsbury Theatre Group would love to see you there.
