New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of North Somerset’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Jo's Kitchen at Hedgers Hide, Row Of Ashes Lane, Redhill, Bristol; rated on August 2

• Rated 4: Central Perks at 12 The Centre, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset; rated on June 14

• Rated 1: Acropolis at 48 High Street, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset; rated on May 28

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And five ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: Hall & Woodhouse at Hall And Woodhouse Chandlery Square, 59 Newfoundland Way, Portishead, Bristol; rated on August 14

• Rated 5: Plough Inn (The) at Plough Inn, High Street, Congresbury, Bristol North Somerset; rated on August 14

• Rated 5: Red Admiral (The) at 43 Alexandra Parade, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset; rated on August 12

• Rated 5: Allstars Sports Bowl at 17-19 Central Walk, Weston Super Mare, North Somerset; rated on August 7
