Residents woke up to heavy snow this morning (Wednesday, 8th March) across the South West with schools and bus services announcing closures in Midsomer Norton and rural villages.

B&NES Council gritting team took to the roads at 9pm last night, and again at 3:30am this morning to make sure roads were safe for morning commuters.

First West of England Bus have suspended 172/173/174 & 379 pending further checks, including the 172 which will not run between Paulton, Midsomer Norton, Radstock and Peasedown St John.
