THE February meeting of the Mendip Gardeners was cancelled due to local flooding, but the speaker has been re-booked for later in the year, so the group will be able to learn about heritage vegetables.

Our next meeting features Margaret Heffernan, from Farrington Gurney. She is the driving force behind Green Farrington, with village planting and the Pollinator Parties.

Her talk is entitled ‘Learning the Hard Way’ and will focus on how she manages her garden sustainably.

The meeting will be held held in the village hall, Green Street, Ston Easton on Wednesday, March 20.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm.
