Families across Bath and North East Somerset have discovered which secondary school their child will be starting at in September.
Of the 1,797 applications Bath & North East Somerset Council received for the 2025/2026 academic year, 98.6 per cent received one of their overall preferences.
A first preference school place was offered to 1.665 applicants. A total of 91 were offered a place at their second preference, while 15 children received an offer for their third preference.
Councillor Paul May, cabinet member for children’s services, said: “It’s fantastic to see that 98.6 per cent received one of their overall preferences, this is compared to 96.8 per cent in 2024/25.”
