A NEW house could be built in the centre of Midsomer Norton next to the South Road Car Park.

A planning application for “a modest family home” in the garden of 1B Silver Street has been submitted to Bath and North East Somerset Council.

Plans show the house will have three or four bedrooms and includes a mock-up of a modern design. Only outline planning permission is currently being sought with the final details to be settled at a later date.

A statement submitted with the planning application said: “This proposal optimises the development potential of the site, whilst taking into account the density of the site surrounds.”
