This Father’s Day Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm in North Somerset wants to shine the spotlight on a special dad…Rasu.
Rasu, the zoo’s Andean Bear, fathered two cubs, Beni and Tuichi, who were born on January 11, 2022. Rasu has some Father’s Day treats planned from Beni and Tuichi, as well as his keepers. This includes honey and marmalade, just like Paddington bear.
At Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, the team is proud to support the vital work of the Spectacled Bear Conservation Society (SBC). SBC is dedicated to protecting spectacled bears in Peru through community empowerment, scientific research, and habitat protection.
The bears at Noah’s Ark play crucial roles in conservation. They are part of an international breeding program that helps protect the spectacled bear species. Additionally, they serve as ambassadors for their wild counterparts in South America, inspiring and educating visitors about the importance of the species and their need for conservation.
By supporting this cause, Noah’s Ark strive to ensure the survival and thriving existence of this vulnerable species for generations to come.
Visitors are welcomed to stop by and say hello to Rasu and his family, and make life-long memories at the zoo this Father’s Day.
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is a conservation charity and the largest zoo in Somerset with more than 100 species of animals. The multi-award-winning zoo is open seven days a week and aims to create a place of joy, wonder, adventure, and refreshment, supporting the well-being of all visitors, staff, and volunteers.
Through education and fun, they aim to inspire and motivate this generation and the next.
Visitors at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm can now enjoy peace of mind with their new Rainy Day Guarantee. If the weather takes a wet turn and it rains for more than one hour during your visit, you can return for free within the next 14 days.
At Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, the only water they want visitors to feel is the playful splash from an elephant’s trunk.
A spokesperson for Noah’ Ark Zoo Farm said: “Whether you’re dodging raindrops or basking in the sun, there is something special for everyone.
“The all-weather attraction offers soft-play and indoor viewing facilities, ensuring a fun-filled experience regardless of the weather. Noah’s Ark is pleased to look for opportunities they can help local tourism as well as families that visit the zoo.”
