North Somerset's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 7pm April 22 to 6am April 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 exit slip lane closure for local authority works.

M5, from 9pm April 22 to 6am April 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 9pm April 25 to 6am April 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 entry slip closed for barrier works, diversion via - M5 southbound to junction 20 and return.

M5, from 9pm April 26 to 6am April 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19, lane closure for signage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
