A petition to Parliament is being shared online to implement ‘Jenny’s Law’.

Matthew Shaw admitted causing the death of 20-year-old Jenny Sell in July 2019 after driving through a red light in Midsomer Norton. He was above the legal alcohol limit and also failed to comply with a drugs test. He was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison and will be disqualified from driving for nine years after his release.

The petition calls for those found guilty of death by drink driving from reobtaining a license, for tougher sentences and for more education in schools on vehicle, alcohol and drug misuse.
