Three large homes could soon be built in a house’s long garden in a village near Keynsham.
Woodlands is a house on the edge of the village of Whitchurch with an impressively large garden. Now plans have been submitted to Bath and North East Somerset Council to turn that garden into space for two five-bedroom homes and a five-bedroom home.
A statement submitted with the planning application said: “The plot is of a sufficient size to comfortably accommodate three detached dwellings, all with sufficient parking/turning areas and rear gardens that would be commensurate with its size to respect the spacious context of the edge of village location.
“The site is located in a highly sustainable location, easily accessible on foot or bicycle to the centre of Whitchurch, which contains an abundance of local facilities. Furthermore, the site is in close proximity to regular bus services to Bristol and Bath providing additional access to employment and services further afield.”
A previous application to the council covering most of the site established that the principle of building three homes here was acceptable.
