The best performing primary schools in Bath and North East Somerset have been revealed.
Children are assessed at the end of year 6 as they leave primary school.
The latest performance figures show 61% of children across England reached the expected standard across reading, writing and maths when assessed at the end of the 2023-24 academic year.
In Bath and North East Somerset this was 60%.
But which schools in the area performed the best? We rank the top 10 below.
1. Freshford Church School
In first place is Freshford Church School.
Every pupil at the school met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths.
2. St Julian's Church School
Coming in second place is St Julian's Church School – the school had a score of 91%.
3. Shoscombe Church School
With 88% of pupils meeting the expected standard, Shoscombe Church School shares third on the podium of the best performing primary schools in Bath and North East Somerset.
4. Pensford Primary School, Chew Stoke Church School, and High Littleton Church of England Primary School
Just missing out on the top three are Pensford Primary School, Chew Stoke Church School, and High Littleton Church of England Primary School.
At these schools, 82% of pupils met the required standard in these three subjects.
7. Bathford Church School
Just behind is Bathford Church School, where 81% of pupils met the required standard by the end of year 6.
8. Marksbury Church of England Primary School
With 80% of pupils meeting the expected standard in reading, writing and maths, Marksbury Church of England Primary School comes in eighth place.
9. St Stephens Church School, and Saltford Church of England Primary School
In joint-ninth place are St Stephens Church School, and Saltford Church of England Primary School.
At these schools, 77% of pupils met the required standard.
