Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A36, from 9am July 15 to 3pm July 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bathampton to Beckington, rolling stop and go boards for drainage works.
• A36, from 8am July 27 to 6am August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington 24/7 multi way signals for drainage.
And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A36, from 9.30am August 5 to 4pm August 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Claverton, two-way traffic lights for Third party tree works.
• A4, from 7pm August 12 to 6am August 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 southbound and A4 northbound, London Road Rbt exit slips, lane closures for local council works.
• A36, from 8pm August 12 2024 to 6am March 1 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A36 both directions Warminster Road, Limpley Stoke at Scotland Rocks, carriageway closure between Waterhouse Lane and private road for carriageway renewal, diversion Cars S/B A36, A4 E/B, A350 S/B, A361 rejoin A36, N/B diversion by following the above in reverse, diversion HGV S/B - A36 W/B, A4, A4174, M32 N/B, M4 E/B, junction 17, A350 S/B, A361 rejoin A36, N/B diversion by following above in reverse.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
