Drivers in and around North Somerset will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm July 30 to 6am July 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to 20, lane closure for technology works.

M5, from 9pm July 31 to 6am August 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to 20, hard shoulder closure for technology works.

M5, from 8pm August 5 to 6am August 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 exit slip including roundabout and A369, lane closure for surveys.

M5, from 9pm August 5 to 6am August 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 20 to junction 21, lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 10pm August 12 to 5am August 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 exit slip road - lane closure for North Somerset Council works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
