Drivers in and around North Somerset will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 8pm October 7 to 6am October 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 exit and entry slips, lane closures for electrical works.
• M5, from 8pm October 8 to 6am October 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19 lane closure for barrier repair.
• M5, from 8pm October 11 to 6am October 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 entry slip closed for barrier works, diversion via M5, junction 21 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
