Drivers in and around North Somerset will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that nine closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm September 9 to 6am September 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 exit slip including roundabout and A369, lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 10pm September 10 to 6am September 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 exit slip closure for drainage works, diversion southbound to junction 20 and return.

M5, from 10pm September 13 to 6am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 lane closure for drainage works.

M5, from 9pm September 16 to 6am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closure for resurfacing.

M5, from 10pm September 19 to 6am September 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to junction 20 - lane closure for horticulture works.

M5, from 10pm September 20 to 6am September 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closure for horticulture works.

M5, from 8pm September 23 to 6am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 19 exit and entry slip roads, lane closure for for electrical works, .

M5, from 8pm September 23 to 6am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18, lane closure for for electrical works, .

M5, from 9pm September 23 to 6am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19, lane closure for for electrical works, .

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
