RESIDENTS across the Somer Valley are invited to a series of events designed to help solve concerns and challenges in their communities.
People across the area can meet with council representatives and their partners at the next round of the Area Forums and Bath Community conversations.
The events are part of Bath and North East Somerset Council’s Connecting Communities programme which brings residents, community organisations and public services together to discuss topics of interest and help address areas of concern.
Residents are invited to drop in and talk about what matters to them with the council’s corporate engagement team and partners including the police, fire service, Curo and health and wellbeing services. Ward councillors may also attend.
Area Forums in Chew Valley, Bathavon, Somer Valley and Keynsham will also take place later this month. Residents can meet with public services, local ward and parish councillors and community groups.
- Bathavon – November 25, 6pm, online
- Somer Valley - November 27, 6pm, online
- Keynsham - November 28, 6pm, online
In Bath, drop-in events have also been held at community venues in the city.
Councillor David Wood, deputy leader and cabinet member for council priorities and delivery, said: “It’s important that the council is present to speak to residents in the heart of local areas so we can better grasp the distinct needs of different communities.
“By talking through the topics that matter most to people, we can develop a shared understanding and deal with many of the challenges together. Please join us and give us your feedback.”
