On 30th November, the Rotakids of St. John’s Church of England Primary School ran a charity cake sale. The children, who are aged between 7 and 11, organised this event themselves and they raised an amazing £126.
This money will be split equally between five charities. These include the school’s four house charities, which were voted in by the children of St. John’s at the start of the school year: Young Minds (Mayne House), the RNLI (Harris House), Cancer Research (Kelston House) and the RSPCA (Sperring House). Finally, one fifth of the money raised will go to Polio Awareness, which is the charity currently being supported by the Rotakids.
The Rotakids would like to thank all of the members of the St. John’s community who donated to this event. They would also like to thank the Midsomer Norton and Radstock Rotary Club for their continued support.
