To end the year on a positive note for the club, Jacob Moon got a well-earned win in Bristol last weekend representing the club at the prestigious Bristol Sporting Club Christmas show.

“Jacob is the hardest working lad in the gym and he doesn’t always get results in his favour, so it was really pleasing to see his hand raised in victory last night” says coach Sean. Boxing a lad from Downend ABC, Riley Catley, Moon was landing the better punches and switching his attack very well. Jacob took rounds one and three with a share of round two to take a well-earned points decision. Both lads showed lots of respect towards each other before and after their bout and were a credit to the sport.

“Well done to Jacob, it’s onto the next one for him. In regards to the club, there’s a real positive team atmosphere going on right now with everyone keen to be out there boxing. I expect the new year to bring lots of opportunities for them all”.
