IN THE County League Paulton Bowls Club men, playing Bath B, produced three very close games, winning one rink, drawing on a second and losing the third but losing overall on shot difference.

The women played their Bowls England Top Club competition against West Backwell on Tuesday. These matches produced a convincing win in the singles and very close, hard fought games in the other disciplines with Paulton winning the Fours but losing by the narrowest of margins in the Pairs and Triples.

However Paulton succeeded overall and go forward to the next round. The men came away with two points in the MSL against Purnells B. AJMeaton
