WELTON Rovers suffered another humiliating defeat when they crashed 13-1 away to Saltash United in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League.

It was Welton’s 26th loss in 26 matches - and they are now 17 points adrift at the bottom of the table with no hope of survival.

Meanwhile, Portishead held on to top spot despite playing in the FA Vase where they beat AFC Stoneham 4-0 at home.

Clevedon, in second place, moved up to within one point of Portishead - who have a game in hand - after winning 2-1 away to third-placed Brixham AFC.

Barnstaple Town, in fourth place, were without a fixture.
