IT was another impressive win for Big Ollie Ashton last weekend in Great Torrington, North Devon.
It was a second round stoppage over local boxer, Kane Roach, who came with lots of vocal support.
It didn’t bother Ollie as he went straight for the win. Showing great power his opponent took two counts in the first round and did well to complete the round.
The second round was a formality as Ollie went hard connecting with some powerful shots on his bewildered opponent forcing the ref to count him out as he was on unsteady legs and a bloodied nose.
Trainer Sean Jenkins said: “Well done to Ollie he showed great power, fitness and commitment considering he had a chest infection leading up to Saturday. I almost pulled him out on the Monday before but it cleared up and it was down to his fitness that got him through. That and the fact he punches like a mule! Another good win for Ollie and the club now we look forward to his next challenge.”
