Once again the unrelenting rain has endeavoured to spoil golf at all golf courses, although Mendip has at least managed to run two events during this past week.

The Ladies held a 9 hole Stableford event which saw a win in Division 3 for new member Wendy Collins with a best score of the day 18 points.

Maggie Brain was 2nd with 17 and Annette Jobbins was third with 15 after count back from Sally Humphries. Division 2 went to Penny Oliver with 17, Anne Collins was second with 16 and Lilian Peel third with 15.

Division 1 saw a win for Jenny Merrett with 15 after count back from Edwina Willis with Jo Espley third with 13 after count back from Libby Bellew.

The Pro Shop Stableford with a much smaller entry than normal because of the ongoing weather situation saw a win for Adam Deverill with a tremendous score, particularly in the conditions, of 44 points with James White second with 38 after count back from Nicholas Roberts.

The Nearest the Pin competition was won by Nick White with Kevin Keene second.
