Midsomer Norton Tae Kwon-Do battled it out at the Tae Kwon-Do South West Championships in what was their first competition of the year.
Instructor Ms Edyta Fober, told The Journal: ‘What a fantastic day competing, cheering each other on and catching up with Tae Kwon-Do friends at South West Championships 2024 in what was our first event of the calendar year.
‘Well done to all three of our competitors, we are very proud of you all.
‘Excellent results for Stefan Barr who entered competition for the first time. He came third in Individual Sparring and secured second place in Tag Team Sparring with gutsy and skilful performances and will build on this experience.
‘Jess Pearcey also performed excellently, she emerged with a well deserved silver trophy in individual Sparring. Club instructor, Ms Fober was second at the Team Patterns event.
‘We made great progress with competitors improving upon their individual personal results, trying some new things to gauge their effectiveness and getting a feel for what they need to work on during the remainder of the year.
‘Well done Team Midsomer Norton TAGB Tae Kwon-Do.
