Friday, 28th July, Norwest held a BBQ event where some sixty members and guests attended. Fortunately the weather stayed fine so the fun and games went very well, the food on offer was very generous with a variety of condiments to complement the burgers and hot dogs.

A big thanks to our chef Andy, also to his back up team of Bett, Megan, Sue and Shirley, also to Nora, Chloe, Brian and family for organising the games and tombola, not forgetting our hard working bar staff.

Sunday, 30th July was the jolly boys and girls outings to Sidmouth BC, it was a great success with the weather just holding fine, the hospitality of the club was outstanding the game ended with us winning on five rinks and losing on one, thanks to club secretary Martin for organising the event and to Berkeley Coaches for getting us there and back.

In the Turnbull Cup we lost away to Purnells but won our games in the Wedmore Plate against Frys and Frome Selwood but lost in the quarter finals to Weston Bath away by eleven shots.

Chloe and Jack reached the fourth round of the senior county mixed pairs whilst Aaron and Sally play this Sunday against Purnells pair Carol Jenner-Timms and Terry Priddle in the quarter finals of the competition good luck to them all.

This Saturday, the A team are home to Frome Sellwood in the County League while a friendly is arranged at Weston Bath, on Sunday, 6th August we have the Cecil Jones Club Competition, 2pm for 2.30pm start.
