After a sell out event last year, the Wellow Way 10K will be back on Sunday, 3rd March, bigger and better than ever!
Last March two hundred and fifty runners and ramblers of all ages and abilities enjoyed the stunning route through the beautiful North Somerset countryside. The feedback on the event was fantastic with people specifically saying how much they enjoyed the friendly family atmosphere and that ‘it wasn’t as intimidating as other events’.
This year we have some new additions to the line up. You can either run or ramble the varied on/off road 10km route, run the 5km route along Wellow Brook or watch your kids have a blast in the Kids Colour Run on the Wellow Recreation ground, complete with haybale obstacles! So there really is something for all the family. And we have the privilege of two inspirational athletes firing the starting gun for our races; Tom Craggs, England Athletics National Off Track Endurance Manager and Marina Johnson, GB triathlete and duathlete.
For sustenance, athletes and spectators can indulge in delicious smoothies and homemade cakes courtesy of St Julian’s School PTA, alongside a delicious BBQ by Somer Valley Butchers.
The Wellow Way 10K is truly a community-driven affair, raising funds for St Julian’s School PTA and the Wellow Community Chest, supporting St Julian’s Church, Wellow Parlour Shop, and Wellow Recreation Ground itself.
Tickets will sell out quickly so secure yours by scanning the QR code in the flyer or visit: https://www.eventcreate.com/e/ww10k
