A fantastic day of rugby for Midsomer Norton Rugby Juniors at the famous Recreation ground in Bath.
Following a successful trip to the Rec in January this year, Midsomer Norton RFC juniors were out in force again on March 26th to watch Bath Rugby take on Exeter Chiefs.
With the under 13s forming a guard of honour, the under 11s, as mascots, ran out onto the pitch in front of the packed stadium, holding hands with the Bath players.
The day included an on-site training session as part of Bath Rugby’s NextGen experience, a behind the scenes tour and a half-time pitch parade.
Midsomer Norton Rugby Club has a thriving junior section who play at the Norton Down ground on Silver Street. The minis section were also in action at the weekend playing at Wells RFC while the under 15s were held to a draw against Corsham RFC
Midsomer Norton Rugby Club thanked Bath Rugby for the opportunity and the great day out for the young players who watched Bath triumph 36-19 to top the day off. In a statement they said, “This is what junior rugby is all about; making life long friendships and creating amazing experiences and memories!”
