On Saturday 9th March, Marlee Harris, of Stratton United FC under 11s, was Bristol Rovers v Derby County's mascot - a surprise 11th birthday gift from great-grandparents Malcolm and Joan Norman.

Malcolm, Rovers' former goalkeeper, passed away in 2023, meaning he was unable to sign Marlee’s shirt as promised. His signature was added thanks to modern technology, creating a lasting keepsake for Marlee.

The family received Malcom’s cap at Gloucester County Cricket Club's dinner, sponsoring two more for the Supporters Club.

Marlee cherished the experience, shaking hands with players and walking out with Scott Sinclair. "I think Great Grandad Malcolm would be very proud of me," Marlee said.
