The unexpected arrival of rain took centre stage in this Farrington Park Seniors Tennessee Waltz competition. A number of teams were completely baffled by this strange weather phenomenon and decided their best option was to return to the safe confines of the clubhouse. That is the party line believe it or believe it not!
Twenty four teams of three initially took to the fairways, two came in early and are probably still in the clubhouse. The remainder braved it and very likely enjoyed the experience.
Only seven points separated the top eight teams but the clear winners by four points were the trio of Paul ‘Grizzly’ Adams (who scored forty two points), Steve Cope and Steve Cockle with a team score of ninety one. A little way behind were Roger Stone, Phil Button and Des Hyland with a score of eighty seven. Roger with an impressive twenty three points on the back nine.
