Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause major delays – with drivers facing a holdup of at least 30 minutes. Another will cause moderate delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A36, from 6am March 1 to 6am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both direction Limpley Stoke, two-way traffic lights for carriageway works.
And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A36, from 9pm April 30 to 5am May 1, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): A36 both directions Warminster Road, Limpley Stoke at Scotland Rocks, carriageway closure between Church Lane and B3108 for carriageway renewal, southbound, diversion via - A36, A4, A350 and A361, northbound, diversion via - A361, A350 and A4.
• A4, from 10pm May 12 to 6am May 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A46 both directions Cold Ashton roundabout to London Road roundabout carriageway closure for drainage, diversion for southbound, via A420, A350, A4. For northbound, follow the same in reverse.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
